The Grave Knight // Embroidered Crewneck
I don’t know if this is an issue with me being plus-sized or an issue across sizes in this garment. Based on the size chart, I’m in-between sizes, and I went with the bigger size (4x). It’s a little too loose in the bust and too tight around my stomach and hips, which I’ve come to expect as someone with a pear shaped body. The real issue is with the sleeves. They’re too long and the cuffs are like comically loose. The length wouldn’t be a problem if the cuffs were tight enough to keep them on my wrists, but I think they’re at least twice the size that they’d need to be for that. Truly an unwearable amount of large.
I have other garments from this brand that have similar fit issues (to a much lesser extent) and it kinda feels like their larger sizes might be directly scaled up from their straight sizes and not actually designed with plus size bodies in mind. Though again, I’m very pear shaped, people with different proportions might have better luck.
To end this review on a positive note, the embroidery is beautiful and I do really love the way the neckline looks. I’m gonna look into getting it tailored to make the sleeves fit better.
Very nice and thick sweater. I can’t wait to wear it this winter.
Wunderschönes angenehmes Material absolut seinen Preis wert!
Oh. My. God. This is now my favourite sweater I own. I bought a 2xl as a 340lbs woman and it's a perfect fit, considering I prefer a more form fitting fit. It has a nice stretch, dense soft material, super detailed and beautiful embroidery, just overall extremely high quality. I'm so beyond happy with how it looks and feels and most importantly makes me feel!! Only thing that is a bit of a downside is that the embroidery for the dagger on the chest is a little awkwardly positioned if you have a fuller chest, as the top of the design starts about halfway down the chest and it's a little sad to lose some of that beautiful embroidery under my bust.
This sweater is awesome, and every time I've worn it people have been stoked about it! I really love all the details and embellishments and feel very powerful in it. However, the stitching between the bulk of the sweater and the sleeve cuffs is a bit loose, and there are some gaps that I'd be worried about turning into real holes on repeated wear. Lovely overall, and very happy to don my armour IRL.
